Alumni Association August Alumni Event

The Fall 2008 August Alumni event was a success! Nearly 20 Alumni Brothers joined the undergraduate members and the two representatives from Headquarters with the goal of betterment of the chapter. Please see the below list of brothers who were in attendance over the course of the weekend event. Additionally, Kevan Gannon, EZZ 1024 should be recognized for his efforts from afar with contacting and recruiting various Alumni Brothers for the event. Over the three day extravaganza, the following items were accomplished:

- Built foundation for outdoor storage shed

- Errected outdoor storage shed

- Tore down old volleyball court wood deck

- Errected new volleyball court wood deck

- Touch up of landscaping

- Cleaning of mold in chapter room and upstairs shower

- Repainting of upstairs shower

- Walsh quad on campus volleyball recruitment event

- Chapter house volleyball recruitment event

- Chapter house Wii tournament recruitment event

- Hungry Eye Alumni brick painting

- General cleaning and organizing assistance to undergraduate Brothers

- Three nights of catching up, strengthening of the Brotherhood and a few cocktails

Thanks to all of you who made it out and for all the time, effort and money that was donated to the cause. It was a great time and a lot was accomplished. To those of you that went above and beyond the call of duty and really worked hard all weekend, give yourself a pat on the back for holding up Lambda Chi Alpha's principles.

Let us all never forget the great truth expressed on our coat of arms, the ancient proverb: Chalepa Ta Kala. Meaning, what’s worthwhile is difficult.
